These musings, ideas, exhortations are intended to magnify the character of the Living God who loves and desires relationship with you. Jesus Christ the Messiah, Ha Mashiach Yeshua, Isa al massih, is calling you, whether you have made a commitment to Him or not. Have you heard Him calling out to you? Calling to you… Calling out in the cold, darkness of night… Calling to you during the frustrations of the day… Calling to you in a deep longing for something, something you can’t get to, can’t touch or reach… Calling for something, more…. Perhaps you may not know anything about God or Christ and this whole idea of God calling out to you sounds rather surreal and quite ridiculous in the light of day, but yet in the blackness of your worse waking nightmares, you long for something. Have you ever considered God? I mean really contemplated, tried to envisage God from His perspective? God holy, just, tenderhearted, merciful, sustain-er and creator of the universe, looked down from heaven at sinful people living in the mud, muck and mire of wickedness who are helplessly unable to change their predicament. They are hopelessly lost and unable to come back to Him, to God who is holy and altogether pure, yet people are unable to breach this chasm of sin. So what does He do, what does God decide to do with his sick, twisted and diseased creation? God, compassionate and long suffering determines a plan of rescue that can satisfy their plight. He decides to go down to man himself by taking on human form and to pay the price of their sin. Christ Jesus, Messiah in flesh bore the wrath against sin on a cross to show his power over sin, in the resurrection so that everyone who turns from sin to trust in Him, will be reconciled to God forever. This divine action is what Christ Followers and the bible call the gospel, translated literally means, good news and it is! My hope and prayer for you is that you will choose to embrace the Messiah to and experience the good news for yourself. I am praying for you! If you choose this life, please let me know.
He was in the beginning with God.
The true light, which enlightens everyone.
God didn't send His Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him
Issa al Massih

Today, September 23, is my one year anniversary of coming to Israel. Since it is such an auspicious day, I have another story… Beit Safafa is like most neighborhoods in Israel, it is filled with ferel cats. Why so many cats? According to Wiki, in the 1930’s the British imported boatloads of cats to the[…]
Since coming back to the states, people have been curious about my home in Israel. They always ask, “what is it like?” Yerushalaim (Jerusalem), is a very multicultural place. Everyone comes to Jerusalem to visit. Atheists come. Muslims come. Agnostics come. Yehudi and Yehudiya (Jews) come. Christians come. And crazy people come. They are the[…]
Here I am… seeking pilgrimage, climbing toward the summit and longing to see the picturesque, panoramic view; to breath in deep, ragged breaths; to take in fresh, clean, effervescent energy. Yet it seems with each step, the rocky shale sends me back, back to the valley; slip, sliding back under heavy, dew-laden boughs, not overlooking[…]
That awkward moment when you realize you’re acting like a 5 year old because you’ve been hurt or you can’t get your way or you live in grief; the project nixed and your reputation discredited, slandered or at the minimum, marginalized…. Last night while lying in bed and praying about the day, God brought out a[…]
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13). Before a word was uttered, before I reluctantly sat down in her chair, I knew this meeting wasn’t going to be a time for reconciliation,[…]
Of late, I have been deeply depressed… suffering. I suppose most people go through periods of blackness, despondency, where life is bereft of enjoyment. They call it grieving, which is far too simplistic an explanation for such a complex mental exercise. Actually, I hate it! I mean, come on… no one wants to suffer. No[…]
I am sad… sad. My last three posts, To Shine Brightly; When Hope is Gone; Moving Towards Forgiveness; attest to the fact that I have moved from Israel back to the states. The move was sudden, unexpected and has driven me into deep mourning. Yes, I have learned from personal experience in my own grief[…]
