I can smell the sweet flavors of chocolate, creamy butter and sweet brown sugar… it is tantalizing my senses and filling the house and escaping out the kitchen window. I am intoxicated with the thought of it… gasping like a dying man, I take it in.

The aroma crescendos… swirling around face and lips as I open the oven door and lovingly place them on the counter to cool. I am utterly consumed with the thought of picking up that thick, steaming cookie and taking a first bite… The ecstasy of the moment…. warm and melted chocolate hits the tongue, the butter and walnuts crunch.
